For the last sixteen years The River City Ministries has been traveling throughout, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and beyond, spreading God's word through song. The group has a sound that is a mix of traditional Southern Gospel, Country Gospel along with some old style camp meeting singing thrown in. While River City enjoys singing original songs written by group member Greg Lindsey, they also have a love for singing Southern Gospel Classics. The group is considered regular guests on the weekly Southern Gospel television program "The Glory Bound Jubilee" and though The River City Ministries is based out of Henderson, Kentucky, they make themselves at home anywhere the people have a desire to praise the Lord.

It is our desire never to look at a singing as just another concert, but rather one more chance to stand in the presence of the Lord and present an anointed message through His music. It is so much easier to share something that has had a impact on your own life, and so the songs we sing are songs that have ministered  to our lives first. Any good thing that we have accomplished we give that honor to God and so it is our prayer that you would never find us arrogant, but confident in the one we sing for, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Greg Lindsey

The majority of the songs you will hear in a River City concert are original Southern Gospel songs written by group member Greg Lindsey, Greg has had his songs recorded by several groups in the industry including the Dove Brothers and Southern Sound. About a year ago Greg was able to see his first top forty song on the Singing News Charts with "Live My Life" which made it all the way to number thirty recorded by the Northmen, and this month River City Quartet has their first charting song written by Greg "The One Who Wears The Crown" which is at number  one on Radio Active Airplay. Greg not only writes and sings baritone for the group, but also serves as group manager. Greg and his wife Lori have a daughter, Jayden and son, Seth. The ministry is truly a family effort.

Mark Ross

Mark Ross has been the tenor for River City for the past 15 years, but Mark's roots in gospel music go back much farther than that. Mark sang with his family group Clyde Ross and the Celestial sounds starting at age 6. Their group was blessed to share the stage with a lot of groups who are considered legends today. When Mark's father passed away the desire to sing was still very strong in Mark's heart, the group is thankful that this calling has led him to River City Quartet.

Seth Lindsey

It has been a dream come true for Greg to be able to sing along side his son Seth Lindsey who started singing with River City at the age of fourteen. The great thing about Seth is that he really understands just how important this message is that the group carries., it is not an ego thing, it is not about us, it is all about lifting up the name of Jesus Christ and you can tell that in every song Seth sings. God has blessed Seth with a big, powerful Lead voice, along with the fact that he truly loves people, his future looks very bright in Gospel music.
